Vietnam Marketing Conference & Think ASEAN! Book Launch in HCMC

“The Vietnam Marketing Conference (VMC) 2007: The Challenges and Opportunities” organized by VietnamMarcom (www .vietnam marcom .com) and MarkPlus Vietnam, supported by Philip Kotler Center for ASEAN Marketing and World Marketing Association, Ngoc Lan Jewellery, Garuda Indonesia, The McGraw Hill (Star Education), University of Economics Ho Chi Minh, amongst others; attracted almost 300 professionals, leaders, professors, expatriates, business owners, businessmen, and journalists. There were 12 speakers/panelist on this conference, who spoke about Vietnam Business Today, Marketing Challenges of Vietnamese’s SME, Strategic Marketing to Teen/Young, Marketing To Men – Customer Trend 2006, New Product/Service, The Power Behind the Great Brand, Brand Communication for Vietnamese Brand, Sales & Distribution Trends, Branded Customer Services followed by Panel Discussion about “Marketing Opportunities for Vietnamese Brand”.

In conjunction with the conference, the book launch of Think ASEAN! in Ho Chi Minh City was held. Hermawan Kartajaya talked about “The Hidden Marketing Opportunities: Think ASEAN”, encouraging the audience to look at how big the ASEAN market is, with population 540 million people and encouraged local champions who already have strong brands in their countries, to not be late to enter other ASEAN countries before foreign brands enter.
